Mirryn Delmoor
”It is as it is.”
Age seven years of age
Race human
Occupation/Rank Daughter of Kenn, Duke of High Keep
Physical Description
A child is often seen as she is, pure. Her fair skin is freckled on her cheeks. The girl is average in height for her age and her body is not frail but athletic lending her more muscle than the usual lady her age. Her hair is more the color of her mother's a reddish brown that seems to grow more and more amber colored as she ages. The length seems increase dramatically every year. At this point its well past her mid-back. Her nurses make sure to braid it every morning.
Her wide, innocent eyes are hazel bordering on green. They stand out against the girl's pale skin. Her nose is small and unobtrusive to her face but its not so small that it doesn't fill in the space at all. She has a shapely mouth with lips that are often pink. Her face is oval shaped, with the slightest of clefts in her chin. Unfortunately her ears are large and easily seen even on the rare occasion her hair is down.
When her father s around or the High Keep is hosting important people, then she wears the appropriate attire. The heavy dresses and gowns, often keep her feeling stifled. Most days she wears much simpler attire. A dress without the ornate heavy fabrics that make her uncomfortable. She has a riding garment which is made of a fine, emerald green.
Personality Attributes
Her mother was gone was all she had been told when she went asking questions about the woman she never knew. Her curiosity on the subject never waned and as such she grew bolder in the asking of questions. The reprimand of "your mother would never have said such a thing" lost meaning for her as soon as she realized she was the only lady of the house and she could tell the servants what to do when she wished. This was not to say Mirryn enjoyed bossing people around, well who was she kidding, she kind of enjoyed being in charge because then no one else could tell her what to do.
She is outspoken because she has no reason not to be. Behaving like a meek and quiet young girl would be against her character and she would never be able to live like that. She knows her own mind well enough to defend her beliefs and ideas to the last even when she is wrong. Her argumentative side is often looked down upon by those who know her. Perhaps a little too adventurous for a young lady, the girl fears almost nothing or at least never admits her fears. Even if she did concern herself with what was going to happen if she did do something the girl often overlooks consequences for her actions because quite often there are not any. At least none that she feels she need concern herself with.
Mirryn has learned to become an independent child having no siblings and her father always busy with this or that. Her independent nature does not mean she is unable to enjoy other people's company. Actually she can be quite charming and gregarious with other people and especially those her father introduces to her. Pride is likely her biggest fault. She cannot help but be who she is and look down on those who do not appreciate it. In her heart she knows she was born for greatness and would become influential and anyone who says differently is a slimy little toad. She can actually be completely unreasonable at times especially when she feels something should be going her way and is not.
An unrealized fear, is the thought of his father's marrying another woman. Mirryn is not sure she would like to have a stepmother. So used to being the lady of High Keep, she could not imagine having to answer to some woman her father married.
Pets
Ten year old Welsh type pony, dappled gray body. The pony is nearly fourteen hands high and has a silver mane and tail. The gelding is called Moon by his mistress. He was a birthday gift last year from her father and she treats him with every kindness calling him her very special friend. (Quite possibly because he is the only one who never argues with her.)
Special Items She carries a ring that was her mother’s and has been passed down for generations although there are no magical qualities about the ring it is precious to her. She wears it always and it is something the people around her use as an identifier when she “runs away”. The ring is gold, the band is two twining strands that culminate into a circle where a sapphire blue gem is laid.
History
The auspicious and greatly anticipated day of her birth should have been joyful. It had all the makings of a perfect day. Her parent's were getting their child and the future heir of the High Keep would be received with warmth by the common people. Alas the beaurt of the day did not make the Lady of High Keep birth her child. Well into the evening she struggled and when at last it seemed all strength was gone from the woman, the child finally came forth. She was not the boy they had hoped for but the Lady who birthed her saw nothing wrong with it. She held the babe until she took her last breath.
The death of her mother, the Lady of High Keep, was a blow to Mirryn's father. He spent a long time in his grief and away from his pretty daughter. His lack of interest only seemed to create in her a more independent spirit. One which worried the servants and most especially her private maids.
From the time she could talk she began lessons from her tutors who were assigned by her distant father. She was a bright student but as per her usual, she could be quite stubborn. Despite her attempts to get out of doing things she did not want to, her tutors have been able to keep the young girl applying herself to her studies.
Last year her father missed her birthday, being away on official Alvernon business but he brought back with him the best of birthday presents. Her favorite pony, Moon. She is convinced the pony is enchanted. Except for his addition to her life it has been fairly boring.
