Feel free to have your character get creative, these are just some popular ones. If you have a suggestion, feel free to pm the admin.
SAYINGS
"Well toast my buns and call me dragon bait." - "Heh, well I guess I was wrong." or "by golly would you look at that?"
"May a gryphon swim first." - for something not likely to happen as 1) it is well known that griffins hate water and cannot swim, and 2) a griffin is the official emblem of Alvernon, a land-locked country.
"This is So-and-so, from Ever'bed." or "That's an Ever'bed girl." or "So-and-so of Ever'bed" - Ever'bed= every bed, as in "every bed in Alvernon" thus referring to either a prostitute, or a very loose woman. It is not necessarily a good reputation to have, if a woman wants to get married. Most people don't care about Ever'bed girls and won't go out of their way to harm them, but they will not let their daughters be seen around them, either.
TOASTS
"Merry to meet, sweet sorrow to part, but merry meet again!" - This is the "official" toast of the Farseeker family, it was made up by some ancestor at a feast hosting Herrsland Kings and taken up by descendants to current times. While other nobles would never use it unless repeating a Farseeker, among the peasantry you find it's quite popular.
"May you find warmth in the night, and a pretty face to wake you in the morning." - Considered "bawdry," most often heard in taverns, pubs, or among groups of noblemen, as it is considered "offensive" to utter it in the presence of noblewomen.
"I pray you all cursed, charmed and hexed. Cursed to suffer many happy evenings such as this, charmed by present company, and hexed to remember all our good times." - likely heard at a nobleman's party. Rarely at a gathering of lower class friends.
CURSES/OATHS*
"Son of a barbarian!" - In reference to the "barbarians" of Tavish. Generally used by nobility, but some peasantry use it as well.
"Elvish balls!" - Generally used by peasantry. Preferably not around Elves.
*Oaths and curses are not accepted among gentlewomen and noblewomen. Although, Alvernoni people expect that Tavish noblewomen curse.
